ASSOCIATE PASTOR JOHN MENAKER

 What an awesome time in history to be a servant of Jesus.  I thank Him for all He has done, and is doing.  I have been at Living Word Fellowship since 1999 and serving in Youth ministry since 2002.  I absolutely love that age group!  What a joy to be able to spend time with teenagers and then see them years later doing the same thing.  I had no idea that this was where God would lead me.  Being raised in the middle of Alaska and spending four years at Northwest College in Seattle, I had no interest in working in a church.  (Evident by my degree in History...)  But I will follow. 

I am blessed to have my wife of 11 years, Ellen, working beside me encouraged on by our two incredible children:  Marissa (8), and Benjamin (2).  As much as I feel I have my hand in a little bit of everything at the church, I wouldn't have it any other way.  From Youth Group to Young Adult Sunday School to the Children's Christmas Production every day for me is different.  I pair this with being a part time Personal Trainer at a local gym.  My philosophy:  "Bring the church to the club, and the club to the church".  I absolutely enjoy teaching the teens and being mentored by my Pastor at my Church. 

My God has called me to serve and this is what I will do.  It is my hearts desire to faithfully follow the LORD.  His promises are solid, and true and upon these I stand.  How incredible is Jesus?  Joh 21:25  And there are also many things, Jesus did, which, if they should be written, I suppose the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.     How incredible is Jesus!
