BLAZIN' WHEELS MINISTRIES
RIDIN' FOR THE LORD
"Whatever you do, do ALL to the Glory of God" 1 Corinthians 10:31
Hi, We're the Woodring's, a small family with a big vision from Boring, Oregon. In the spring of 2006 I had a vision of a traveling ministry that follows the motocross races and here we are. Motocross happens to be something we thoroughly enjoy so I'm grateful that God has allowed us to share His love surrounding something He knows we already enjoy. Praise God for motorcycles! We are here as Christ's disciples in the motocross profession to share His gracious love and spread the gospel as Christ told us to do. He truly has given us the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37:4).
As a racer myself and kid at heart I thank God for the opportunity to work with kids that have dreams and desires still yet to be molded. We don't push religion on people; instead we're 'just ourselves' and let God do the work. Racing and being a witness is what we are about.
We are here for the long haul. As this ministry and team grows our goal is to have two teams: a Pro only team and a Pro-Amateur team of riders that have a desire to serve God and race. Right now we are a combination of both, that will be traveling and working together. We are looking forward to another wonderful year of racing and working with all the variations of people that God places in our path. See ya at the races! |

Welcome to the 2012 season! The first race of the season and everyones excitement was high. There has been a lot of preparation for the riders and teams, and now, let the show begin.
Let me introduce the riders under the tent: #212 Honda, Auston Albers #501 Suzuki,Scotty Wennerstrom #726 Kawasaki, Gared Steinke #423 Suzuki, Brandon Gillespie.
For those who donʼt follow the sport of Supercross, Iʼll explain a little how it works. There are two classes: the big bikes, 450, or lite class, 250. For example the 450 class had 53 riders sign up to race, they are split into three groups and each group during the day has two chances to score their highest speed lap. The top 40 riders advance on to the night show, so in this case the 13 riders that didn't make it just get ready for the next weekend's race. This is the same process for the lites class.
Next we move onto the night show or main event, each class is split into two groups, heat 1 and heat 2. We have to remember each class, 450's have 40 riders and 250's have 40 riders that advanced on. Out of each heat per class they take the top 9 riders with the fastest lap time in a 8 lap race. Now the riders that are left from each group only have one more try called LCQ (last chance qualifier). They have a six lap race and only take the top two ending with 20 riders per class for the main event. The main event consists of 15 laps for the lites 250 class and 20 laps for the 450 class. There you have it in a nut shell.
See you at the next race in Phoenix, AZ.

Hello race fans, friends, and family,
Another exciting weekend, we had a new rider from France under the tent. #870 Cyrille Coulon, Suzuki RM-Z450.
Results:
#212 Auston Albers was hurt before the first race in Anaheim practicing, so he is on the mend, praying for a complete healing to be able to race in Los Angeles, Ca.
#501 Scotty Wennerstrom, was only four out from the top 40 riders that advance to the night show The times are so close!
#726 Gared Steinke, 250 class, was 27th out of the top 40 that advanced on to the night show. Way to go Gared! Next step main event - You can do it!
#870 Cyrille Coulon, 450 class, was 27th out of the top 40 that advanced on to the night show. Way to go Cyrille! Next step main event - You can do it!
#423 Brandon Gillespie, was hurt at Anaheim last weekend so he also is on the mend, believing for a complete healing speedily.
Father, we thank you for your covering and protection, for complete healing from the top of their heads to the souls of their feet. Thank You for being with us every step of the way. We give You all the Glory and Praise, we love You! In Jesus Name. Amen.
See you at the next race in Los Angeles, CA.

Things were a little changed up this weekend starting with a wake up call of rain Saturday morning. But by 11:30 a.m. it had stopped. The track was covered with tarps so they had a late start which meant everyone only got one chance to qualify for the fast 40 riders that advance to the night show.
Every weekend is a new adventure, we enjoy mingling, sharing the Lord one on one and praying for the riders. There are new riders that come and go under the tent giving us more opportunities to let God's light shine. During the week, between races, the rides find places to practice, kick up their heels, have a little fun and increase their speed lap times, that's the only way in to the main event. These are some of the pictures from practice day.
We would like to put a special prayer out to riders: Trey Canard #41, and Ryan Morais #65 for a full recovery with no complications.
See you at the next race in Oakland, CA.
Hello race fans, friends, and family,
Headed north this week to Oakland, CA for the 4th round of the series and we had some beautiful weather. It's strange but then again not strange because even though everyone involved in this sport of Supercross we're still one big family because you see the same people every weekend working hard to achieve the same goal, see their rider or riders make the main event. Whether under our tent or another we all look out for each other.
After we get parked and finish setting up the tent on Fridayʼs weʼre open to walking around the pit, mingling with others or sometimes Britt and I take Tyler's street bike and go touring around the streets of California. We ended up right under the Hollywood sign which was cool (last weekend we did that).
Saturday is the work day for the riders and mechanics which starts about 11:00 am with a track walk, followed by riders meeting and a 15 minute Chapel service. From there it's practice and timed qualifiers till the evening show which starts at 7:00 pm. The races are on TV, just go to www.supercrossonline.com for the schedule. You might see us waving in the background or even in a interview for the Ministry! They have many things for the spectators in the pits; one of them was a punching bag test to see how hard you can punch as you see Britt and Tyler doing. Mixing work with play!
We will continue to be praying for all the riders on the mend.
If your wondering who the riders are in the pictures - let me tell you ;-)
#5 Ryan Dungey
#800 Mike Alessi
#565 Preston Mull
#501 Scotty Wennerstrom.
#54 Weston Peick
#383 Brandon Rangel
Britt and I got our picture taken with Suzuki rider #24 Brett Metcalfe and wife.

{OUR MISSION}
1. To share God's word in as many places and races as we can.
"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." [Mark 16:15]
2. To let people know God is not a boring or condemning God.
"For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." [John 3:17]
3. To let people know that God wants to bless us.
"And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God." [Deuteronomy 28:2]
4. To let people know God is sufficiently abundant in supplying our needs and desires.
"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work."[2 Corinthians 9:8]
5. God wants us to be happy and enjoy life!
"These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full." [John 15:11]
6. God wants us healed physically, emotionaly and spiritually.
"Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness by whose stripes you were healed." [1 Peter 2:24]
7. God's not complicated, He does hear our prayers and wants to be your friend not your dictator.
"You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing, but I have called you friends for all things that I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you." [John 15:14-15]
